(OCIA) Order of Christian Initiation of Adults preparation for adults Ages 17 and over
For adults who want to prepare for any one or all the following: Baptism, Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, or Confirmation and who desire to learn history and theology (teachings) of the Church, so to make an informed decision as to whether they wish to fully accept the Catholic Faith.
Description: This class will cover the basic concepts and beliefs of our Catholic faith. Learning how to read Sacred Scripture, how to use the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and how to pray. We will talk about Our Spiritual Mother, and God’s countless witnesses. We will also explain the Liturgical Seasons of the Church, and have a walk-through of the Holy Mass, from beginning to end. By the end of this course, you will have a good, solid foundation of the Eucharist in order to be well informed to receive your Holy Sacraments and be in full Communion with Holy Mother Church.
This class is also designed for already Baptized Christians for entrance into the Catholic Church.
Objectives:
Prepare each participant to receive the Sacraments of Initiation
Provide resources to search and find the Truth
Develop a personal relationship with God and one another
